Golden Colorado Real Estate

 

Golden sits at the base of the foothills just below Lookout Mountain, and has a population of approximately 18,000 lucky residents.  The town of Golden houses the famous Coors Brewery and the Colorado School of Mines.  It is hugged by North and South Table Mountain and rests in the valley where it was founded back in 1859 during the gold rush.  Today it is considered a “gem” and symbol of Colorado’s history.    

Golden CO real estate is quite popular as it is a desirable place to live.  It is a vibrant college town with students biking and hiking in the area.  Golden is close to downtown Denver for an easy commute and many businesses and office complexes around the Denver metro area.   If you don’t want to live in the more remote foothills/mountains west of Golden – well this is the perfect compromise.  You are still close to I-70 for quick access to skiing, and Black Hawk/Central City is nearby if you like to gamble.  The views are spectacular and varied.  From tucked away canyons to views of the Red Rocks – or if you prefer city sophistication – Golden has it all!    

Everyone loves Golden!  Just being there makes you smile.  It takes you back to a time when Colorado was untamed, and cowboys rode their horse to town.  Sometimes they still do - Ye Haw!
