Evergreen Colorado – it just sounds good!!
Evergreen is a vibrant, modern town west of Denver nestled in the foothills just a 40 minute commute to downtown Denver and an hour from world-class skiing. Evergreen’s population has grown over the past few years to over 42,000. Its popularity is due to the lifestyle this quaint western town provides to its residents, and her astounding beauty. It is absolutely beautiful in all seasons and families enjoy the many activities such as fishing from Evergreen Lake, ice skating, golf, hiking and biking trails, open space parks, and every convenience imaginable. Historic downtown Evergreen has an array of unique shops including antiques and collectibles, galleries, clothing, souvenirs and specialty shops. The restaurants are locally owned, and you might just share a burger with a few celebrities that meander into town on occasion.
Residents share this unique mountain town with elk, deer, fox, bear and an occasional cougar. The only traffic jam here is caused by the elk crossing the street heading for one of Evergreen’s mountain parks. Evergreen has 6 open space parks perfect for hiking and biking and horseback riding. The focal point of downtown Evergreen is Evergreen Lake. The authentic log “Lakehouse” can be rented for special events, and the grounds include picnic tables and BBQ pits, grassy areas for play and boardwalks meandering through wildlife wet lands. The lake is stocked with trout for year round fishing. In summer, there are outdoor concerts under the stars and boat rentals.
